Principal's Message

Dear West Cabarrus Families,

It is truly an honor to serve as Principal of West Cabarrus High School and to continue my journey with this incredible community. As we begin the 2026–2027 school year, our theme is "Staying the Course." This theme reflects our commitment to remaining focused on our goals, building upon our successes, and continuing the pursuit of excellence that defines West Cabarrus.

West Cabarrus has established a strong tradition of academic achievement, scholar involvement, community engagement, and school pride. Together, we will stay the course by remaining dedicated to providing outstanding opportunities for every scholar while fostering a culture where all members of our school community feel valued, supported, and empowered to succeed.

I feel especially fortunate to lead and serve in the community I call home. As a proud resident of Concord, I understand the importance of strong school-community partnerships and the impact they have on scholar success. When I am not serving as Principal, I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, and reading.

My educational philosophy remains unchanged: all scholars can learn and achieve at high levels when provided with a positive learning environment, strong leadership, dedicated educators, supportive families, and an engaged community. Staying the course means remaining steadfast in this belief and ensuring that every decision we make is centered on student growth and success.

The West Cabarrus community has worked tirelessly to establish a strong presence and reputation throughout Cabarrus County. I am committed to continuing that work while building on the momentum we have already created. While we celebrate our accomplishments, we recognize that our journey toward excellence is ongoing. Staying the course requires perseverance, collaboration, and a shared commitment to continuous improvement.

Whether you are joining the West Cabarrus family for the first time or returning for another year, know that relationships remain at the heart of my leadership. Your child's safety, well-being, and academic growth are our highest priorities every day. I look forward to partnering with you throughout the year and creating experiences that prepare our students for success both inside and outside the classroom.

There will be many opportunities throughout the year for us to connect, and I am excited to get to know each of you better. Together, we will stay the course and continue moving West Cabarrus forward.

Have a wonderful school year, and Go Wolverines!

Sincerely,

Dr. Robinson
